Established in 1977, Wessex Tree Surgeons is a family-run business, providing personal, friendly and professional arboricultural contractual and consultancy services to residential and commercial customers in the New Forest, Hampshire, Dorset, Devon, Somerset and surrounding areas. We achieved Arboricultural Association Approved Contractor status in 1990 and have retained this accreditation continuously to the present day.
Wessex Tree Surgeons offer a wide range of tree surgery services including crown reduction and reshaping, crown thinning, crown lifting, risk management of deadwood and pollarding. Additional services include fruit tree pruning and hedging. All tree works undertaken by our qualified tree surgeons are carried out in accordance with British Standard BS 3998:2010 Tree work - Recommendations and the European Tree Pruning Guide, 1999.

Wessex Tree Surgeons provide both sectional tree felling and straight tree felling services. Sectional felling is undertaken when a tree is located in a confined space and/or in close proximity to property. Our skilled and qualified team will remove your trees in a safe, efficient and controlled manner using state-of-the-art equipment.
Stumps from felled trees can be treated with Ecoplugs which provide a 100% selective method of applying glyphosate to a stump. There is no risk of spillage of chemicals and no risk of damage to the surrounding nature. Ecoplugs can be used all year round and kill the entire root system of the treated tree stump reducing chemical usage by up to 90% compared to previously used methods.
