Our chief designer Richard Miles will oversee all design work.
Based in Kidlington, near Oxford, we are an independent, privately-owned kitchen design studio with a reputation for excellent design and quality workmanship at the right price. Designer Richard Miles, who bought out Benchmark in 2005, has taken the company from strength-to-strength with his passion for innovative and contemporary design, and an upfront and honest approach to his clients.
Based in Kidlington, north Oxford, our purpose-designed Kitchen showroom allows us to demonstrate our range of kitchen styles, accessories and gadgets. Whilst you are welcome to pop in and browse, we advise booking an appointment so we can spend time discussing you requirements (and make sure the Hot Tap is fired up on your arrival!).

Echoing my partner Chrissie Martin's review of the way Benchmark transformed our kitchen. The process went surprisingly smoothly after we had a few headaches visiting other kitchen suppliers/fitters - we were a bit lost with it all at the time. We wanted a full kitchen refit, including a knock-through kitchen-diner. Richard came up with a lovely design that accommodated all of our needs. We really appreciated the project management that Benchmark supplied too, from arranging fitters, plasterers and rubbish disposal. A great job at a good price.

We asked Richard and the team to completely change our kitchen and are delighted with the results. Richard's creativity was a godsend and his suggestions when we couldn't make a decision were just what we needed. The installation team were all lovely. The whole process was 100% stress free - quite a feat!!

We got 4 quotes for our kitchen refit and were pleasantly surprised that Benchmark were able to give a competitive quote. Glad we went with them due to the extra support with design that you get compared to other companies. We felt we were in safe hands, with the added bonus that Richard was able to source the whole lot-appliances, worktop and units for us and at quite short notice. Great email communication and support on hand to iron out any minor issues during the fit. LOVE the finished result!

We love our new kitchen – designed and created by Richard and his team. After a site visit, Richard produced plans and costings and we went from there to come up with a kitchen that met our demands plus budget!. Paul, the fitter, is an absolute master of his craft. Extremely hard working, precise and thorough. Everything went like clockwork; electrics, plumbing and quartz worktop installation all with zero hassle. We would definitely recommend Benchmark to anyone thinking of replacing their kitchen……. worth every penny!

I had a kitchen fitted by Benchmark Kitchens and Interiors 2.5 years ago. After getting multiple quotes and designs from different companies, it was clear that the design that Richard created was the best use of the space. He provided full and detailed costings and took into account my preferences for specific items which were then incorporated into the design. The kitchen was fitted on time (within 2 weeks, in my case) and at the pre-specified budget and there were no snagging issues afterwards. 2.5 years on and I still get compliments on just how well laid out and beautiful my kitchen is. I am truly delighted with the new kitchen. It has achieved the desired effect of making the kitchen feel both lighter and bigger.
I am so glad that Richard suggested getting rid of the corner units, and pulling the floor units forward along that wall to provide deeper work surfaces. It all looks lovely and is working well, and it was that creative leap that led to this really effective new layout. And I love having drawers at the lower level all round. So much easier!

We used Benchmark Kitchens for our new kitchen and cannot recommend them highly enough. We went to several high street names but weren't happy with the generic designs produced. Despite our limited budget, Richard produced an exceptional kitchen for us - combining a couple of bespoke cupboards with off-the shelf items to really make it look beautiful and function perfectly for our needs. Benchmark kitchens were extremely prompt and easy to work with throughout the process and I cannot recommend the highly enough.

It was a very positive experience: Richard and his staff were highly professional, everything was explained to us clearly, and we were given a lot of choice and options affecting the look and price.
