Unfortunately our new build family home was fitted with an automatic Hormann up and over garage door.
Its dreadful, its brand new and barely works, we have to assist it to open by hand every time and often have to do the same to get it to close. Its quite literally the opposite of what you should be getting from an "automatic" door.
We had the local fitter attend to look at the problem a couple of days ago, after which it worked fine, for the rest of that day. The following morning it was back to lifting it by hand.
The key fobs are of a terrible quality, one of ours has simply fallen apart

Light a fire under their UK dealer network. I've contacted four for a quotation for two new doors. I did get a price from one who has subsequently failed to respond to clarify a couple of points. I would have got a better response if I had announced our requirements to the residents of a cemetery. Come on Hormann, wake up and give us service. We're oy trying to pay your wages after all.

We purchased two garage doors and three exterior doors. The two garage doors have corroded on the actual panels. These doors have a 10 year warranty, however appear not to be covered if used outdoors? We have… contacted Hormann and frankly they are not interested in rectifying the issue. Would not have thought after paying a substantial amount from a prestigious company, or so we thought the customer service would be so poor. Disappointing product and disappointing Company.☹️

Hormann replaced both our garage doors yesterday (12/07/21) so credit where it is due. You rectified

Beware when thinking of using Hormann roller garage doors apparently scratching on the lathes after just a year and a half should be expected and are normal wear and tear.
When you dispute it they want to charge you £240.00 plus 40p per mile to come and inspect the issue.
Thought Hormann state 'A good reputation must be earned'

Where to begin - Our door constantly lets the rain in. We were told because the rain is so hard with the wind, it makes it's way through & there's not a lot we can do about it.. The sil is a joke - Expensive waste of money. BE AWARE It does not cope with hard rain against the door. Photo showing the water coming in. Horman sent an engineer round to fix, NOT.

Having built my garage and sourced the door from Hormann rollmatic od 2.7 x 2.7 approx in size to be supplied and installed by my local reputable company, i sat back and waited and some weeks later it was installed, i came home to find the door had a gap of 20-25 mm at one side at the bottom, needless to say a phone call was made and to be fair the… local company tried several times in liason with Hormann to put things right, and eventually sending their engineer down to assist but made the door even worst so that it had to be remade.The second door arrived and was installed to find that

I bought two bi secure key fob garage door remotes and both have disintegrated in exactly the same place in less than one year. Apparently this isn't covered by the warranty!
Despite many complaints online… about the quality of the remotes the response from the supplier was to offer €7 off my next purchase!
Wouldn't use again very poor quality. Stay clear of this manufacturer.

Absolutely terrible company to deal with, they always claim they are the market leader, this is only by buying market share, this would not be by quality, service or friendly staff,
Reps think they have made it but think they need to wake up to realise they are not gods gift nor an owner but simply an employee,
Never get back to you or honour any warranty claims as it's never there fault but find it easy to pass blame to the customer,
If things sent wrong its a case of waiting full time again for correct replacement,
My advice would be to stay well clear and use a better alternative as there

Sadly Hormann refer all issues to their dealers so after querying why no remotes on electric opener ordered from an on-line seller I was simply referred to a local dealer. When I had issues with Blum hinges, Blum stepped in and fixed the issue for free - going well beyond but Hormann don't seem to operate that way.

Had a new front door supplied which has sharp edges on it and which has resulted in cuts, it is also chipping around the key hole due to the poor quality finish, this door cost me £2500 and is a shocking product, Hörmann as a company are not interested and the only thing they have suggested is that they will send me a touch up pen!! I am taking further legal advice as this is a shonky attitude to a safety issue! My advice would be to avoid the Hörmann sales pitch as the after service is shocking!!
