Services
Knowlton & Newman have three workshops in the South which carry out maintenance, repairs and rewinds to both AC and DC electric motors. This is undertaken 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Every motor, on receipt is dismantled, inspected, tested and all faults recorded. Once repaired, the motor is tested, spray painted and guaranteed for one full year.
Knowlton & Newman recognise the importance of efficiency and performance in pumps to the overall operating costs of process industries. We provide a cost effective solution to all pumping systems and controls to combat the deterioration in- service which almost certainly leads to higher energy costs.
As members of the Electrical Contractors' Association, Knowlton & Newman offer a comprehensive electrical installation and maintenance service to both industrial and commercial customers. This covers the full range of installations, from a control panel requirement to a complete ship installation and rewire.
Imbalance in rotating machinery is not only costly but will almost certainly over time affect other machine components. Our dynamic balancing service, which can be carried out on-site, utilises the latest in computer technology to detect vibration and imbalance. By measuring the degree, the frequency and pinpointing the source of vibration, the root cause of the imbalance can be determined.
Condition Monitoring is used where process industries require an increase in production uptime, which generates more profit and reduces maintenance costs. In addition, machine based monitoring avoids catastrophic failure and secondary damage expense. Very often it is an insurance pre-requisite. Knowlton & Newman Ltd provides this service on site, inspecting critical plant and recording data to trend machine condition.
