With knowledge and experience of a wide range of building types and innovative construction methods our clients are offered an affordable, balanced & holistic service developed to exceed client aspirations.
King Architects aim to deliver unique architects' services to all in an accessible, easy-to-use, customer friendly format. Rather than appointing an architect to run the whole project on your behalf, King Architects offers you a choice. With King Architects you can use the skills and services of your architect as much or as little as you want.
The King Architects process starts with a free initial consultation given for all potential projects. At the meeting we listen to our client's and provide our intial views and advice. Sketches are often produced during the meeting to ensure both client and architect share the same vision. Following this meeting a full and detailed fee quotation is provided.
On most occassions and following a full brief, the starting point will be the survey of existing buildings or land and the production of survey drawings. Architecture must be contextural and many ideas and options will be explored. Whilst, as a client, you may well know what you want, King Architects pride itself on exploring the options and delivering you ideas and thinking "out of the box" that perhaps you may not have considered possible.
Following design agreement, drawings are prepared and submitted for planning and listed building consent where required. King Architects were involved in testing and feedback of Scotland's 1st pioneering electronically prepared and submitted planning application in conjuction with The City of Edinburgh Council.
