Location of the gas meter : As we are now allowed only 1mbar pressure drop from gas meter to the boiler. And this means most existing gas supply pipes are too small. Therefore we may need to run bigger size pipe from meter to the location of the boiler. Please note that energy efficient boilers works even if the pressure drop is more then 1mbar but may not work to its full potential.

This record shows that gas appliances have had an annual gas safety check by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Landlords must also maintain gas appliances, so check the date when yours were last serviced as well.
Over the years Pulsa coil was installed in most of the apartment and this type of system does not need discharge pipe, therefore they are exempted from Section G3 building regulation requirement. The major drawback of the pulsa coil system is the leak from the internal copper tank. This cannot be repaired as the internal copper tank is is contained within the outer steel case which is impractical to dismantle.
