Kathy Basheva is a RIBA chartered architect, based in London. She is a multilingual architect, with a background in environmental studies and international experience. Kathy holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master of Science from the University of Applied Sciences, Cologne. With experience in China, the Middle East, Europe and the UK, Kathy brings a unique international understanding and design flair.
At Studio Basheva, we offer a full range of architectural services, from a new built, a complete refurbishment, residential and commercial properties. With an extensive network of consultants, we pride ourselves on delivering unique and personalised spaces. Most people have a limited understanding of what architects do and how they're compensated.
At first glance when you meet me you hear a mixed European accent. You might wonder where my origins are from. Life has offered me the opportunities both by upbringing and by choice to reside and work on three different continents and in five countries. My international experience has provided me a very wide exposure to Europe, the Middle East and the Far East.
Below we have outlined ten new trends following the three months of #WorkingFromHome. WFH has exposed several important needs that "we" in the design, architectural world will need to consider in the foreseeable future. The Study - The first and clearly most obvious requirement is a designated WFH space or a Study.
The traditional houses have been designed with different mind set. The house in the 19-20th century were tasked to house the mass influx of newcomers into the towns and the cities. Particularly in the UK and London the most important item was privacy. This achieved en-masse houses which offered a very segregated layout with dark and enclosed envelope.

Ioned Kathy to redesign our 100sqm flat in Tel-Aviv. The flat was old and needed to be refreshed, the family bathroom and the kitchen needed to be revamped. We met with Kathy from the onset and we did not speak in architectural terms. Kathy managed to perfectly understand our wishes and turned our dream into reality. The bathroom is now a tranquil oasis, the kitchen is an inviting entertaining hub. It reached the point we do not want to leave in the morning. When entertaining, guests find it difficult to leave. The apartment is now serene, tranquil, with a subtle elegance. We are grateful for improving

Thank you, Kathy. I really appreciate the way Studio Basheva answered all my questions regarding the construction.
