Using either a traditional brush or rotary sweeping technique, Ian will sweep the chimney. An up-draught test is then carried out to establish draw on the flue. Ian will inspect the pots and any cowls from ground level to ensure that current regulations are being met. Finally a certificate of sweeping will be issued.

The test you need to check your chimney isn't leaking dangerous Carbon Monoxide fumes into either your or your neighbours property. Once swept, the chimney is blocked at the top and filled with smoke. A visual check is then carried out in every room that the chimney runs through, usually the bedroom and loft space.A two part Certificate of Smoke testing is then issued.
