If you are looking to buy timber online at fantastic prices then Cross Country are the company to use. With stock from 19x38mm treated roofing batten up to 75x225mm structural softwood treated timber and everything in between. Lengths in stock normally range from 2.4m up to 4.8m lengths however longer lengths can be brought into stock and delivered to site, nationwide within a few days.

I bought 3 garden fencing panels from cross-country building services for £240 via eBay. As I was unable to use these panels for my garden so I had to return them. I was forced to accept cross country's very steep £80 "restocking fee". The company collected these panels for me and was meant to do a £160 refund via eBay, but I have received nothing from Cross Country. Cross Country is essentially a one-man band run by Simon Lewis. I have called several times and emailed him as well - to no avail. It looks like they just want to keep my money, and wait for me to go away. Not the behaviour of a

Despite being the "middle men" by not being suppliers themselves, I have been ordered quite few times from them, they have some fantastic unbeatable prices on some items, and they are also spot on with customer communication, the delivery times are much faster then the delivery times given when you try to order directly from some of their suppliers, so it's well worth it, I am highly recommend them.
