Roller shutter, vertically rolling doors have become incredibly popular as domestic garage doors in the past few years. Vertically rolling garage doors, or 'roller doors' feature a curtain that rolls into a coil or barrel, positioned above the garage opening. The vertical opening mechanism means that the door does not swing out when it is opening so you can safely park right up to the door.
Sectional garage doors have been popular in Europe for many years and one of the manufacturers responsible for their huge popularity is ALUTECH. In recent years we have seen a huge increase in popularity here in the UK with ALUTECH at the forefront of the supply chain. A sectional or 'overhead' garage door opens vertically upwards and is suspended under the ceiling when in the door is in the open position.
If you currently have a manual up and over garage door that is still too good to replace, a more cost effective alternative is to automate it by adding a specially designed chain and motor. Many up and over garage doors can easily be enhanced in this way and it is the perfect compromise between having the benefits of an automatic garage door without the cost of replacing the whole door.

With trepidation I decided to replace our 40+ year old 5m wide double garage door, but luckily I found Worcester Garage Doors and having read their reviews and studying the website, decided to give them a go.
Best move ever did! From initial sizing up and quotation visit through several curtesy calls and emails to keep us informed, to final installation and removal of waste and old door/mechanism, the whole process was without fault. They are curious, professional and thorough. The product is great, as is their customer service and they are competitive to boot.

We decided to change our up-and-over door for an electric roller door. We got a quote from a big national firm and Worcester Garage Doors. We chose Worcester Garage Doors because Joe was really friendly, answered all of our questions and came up with a really neat solution for our door. He was very honest with the price right from the beginning (unlike the national company who gave a price at the meeting and then called a few days later with a reduced price if we decided there and then!).
