Services
The following services are for domestic clients. Other clients are welcomed and should contact David Balchin Chimney Sweep with their requirements. Your chimney will be swept using the appropriate professional rods and brushes. I carry around 30 different brushes as part of my standard equipment. Your chimney must be swept with only the right size and bristle width or damage is possible.
Appointments may be from 30 to 40 minutes for a small lined stove and up to 2 and a half hours for one large unlined stove, Birds nest removals can take many hours if they have been left for years or access is poor. I will never compromise service quality or your safety in an effort to save time! Failure to follow guidelines on sweep intervals may invalidate your home insurance and above all, risk your safety!
These rates and services do not include replacement of parts such as fire bricks, rope and gaskets. These will be supplied and fitted at extra cost. Discounts available for multiple chimney sweeps when booked for the same property at the same time! Flue Lined Wood Burning & Multi Fuel Stoves as well as Unlined, Small Open Fires that require standard sweeping but are not blocked or requiring tar removal:.
Due to the nature of my work, I cannot give a precise time unless it's the first one in the morning. Please ensure you leave plenty of time for your appointment, especially if you know of any issue that may take extra time. Please make sure you have made a clear working area around your appliance to help prevent mess or damage.
Please note that due to the very nature of my work, it may be difficult to talk to me on the phone during the day time but you can leave a message and I will always ring back. I always try to answer calls in the evening between 6:30pm and 8:30pm so this would be a good time for private clients to call.
