Initially the cost is greater but the service life is many times that of softwood, which represents long term value for money.
Sliding gates can be the answer to this problem. Providing there is adequate width a sliding gate can installed that will not take up valuable parking area. A sliding gate can be built to look like a pair but is one single leaf that can slide to right or left.

Services
We have researched old wooden gates designs to enable us to revive the architectural glories of the past. If you have a period property, what could be more appropriate than a wooden entrance gate built in a design from the same era? There are different options of automation available in all of our automatic electric gates.
To build top a quality woodengate it is vital that the right materials are used and that skilled craftsmen carry out the construction. The timber arrives at our workshop rough sawn and kiln dried. We then put the timber "in stick" in our yard for secondary seasoning, during this period the timber will take up moisture until an optimum of 18 per cent is achieved.
