Music Sound & Lighting is a company based in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire that specialises in audio and lighting equipment in the DJ, Band, Stage, Event and Fitness Class industries. Our shop and Demo Room is open Monday to Friday 9-6pm, where we offer a wide variety of products at great prices to suit all your needs.
What is the difference between a passive and powered speaker? Put very simply a passive speaker requires a separate amplifier to power it, where as a powered speaker has a built-in amplifier. A passive speaker, also known as a non-powered speaker, gets it's power from the lead that connects it to the amplifier, meaning you do not have to plug it in to a mains socket.

There are many different lighting effects on the market, so choosing the right kind can be quite difficult at times.
All prices quoted are for a 1 day hire of the equipment. A weekend hire is classed as 1 day, so if you are collecting on a Friday then the kit must be returned the following Monday during working hours. All hires must be collected and returned between 9-6pm Monday-Friday unless an appointment outside of these hours has been agreed.
Our qualified engineer is highly skilled and experienced with repairing, general servicing and PAT testing all your much loved equipment. If you have any questions, queries or want to discuss anything about the equipment you are looking to get serviced, tested or repaired, then please call our friendly and helpful staff between 9-6pm Monday-Friday.

Highly highly recommend!!! Wouldn’t go elsewhere, Dan is a fantastic bloke, easy to get on with and full of conversation. Soon as we came to the store Dan gave us a warm welcome and treated us with high respect. Dan made our experience very pleasant ensuring we had ever bit of help we needed and even took us on a tour around his shop 🙂 He has a very fair reliable service and always comes in handy. My dad was after some dj equipment and MSL came highly recommended. Dan opened his shop especially for him on a Saturday, set up his demo room so we could 'try before we buy'. Dad was so impressed by Dans knowledge and professionalism, plus he managed to get everything he was after. Wouldnt go anywhere else for dj equipment purchase/hire.

Cannot recommend dan at music sound & lighting enough! This guys certainly knows the trade and what he’s talking about.. very helpful with providing me information on some new gear, great price and quality products. I then needed some lighting delivered within a short space of time, this guy went out his way to deliver it to my doorstep the same day.
