I can highly recommend James the Sweep, they were prompt, polite and efficient. My room was left very clean and tidy, James seemed to me to be very knowledgeable about his job and gave me some good tips.
I wouldn't hesitate to use these guys in the future, as I thought they were good value for money.

Agree with the previous reviewers who said that the customer service is rubbish. We had James booked to come to ours in November. He never showed. When I called to enquire what had happened I was told that when he arrived no one was home, which isn't true as I had waited at home all day. Our home is difficult to find but I had sent instructions and never received a call for clarifications. The office never called back to re-book or offer any kind of apology. Look elsewhere.

James called twice to clear my flu, sadly he wasn't successful. Subsequently I managed to clear the blockage and called him to give the flu a quick sweep, after leaving about 15 messages on his answerphone I am still waiting for a response. He has either gone out of business or is just ignoring me. Sad because I still paid him even though he wasn't successful in clearing the flu. Rod Smith

I do not understand the negative reviews below. We have used James for a number of years. He is polite, helpful, and clean and conscientious around the house, arrives on time and does a great job. He has also given us great (free) advice on fuel and how to light fires etc so that we only need to clean our flue annually rather than 6-monthly, and on this latest visit he also carried out a repair for free. I don't see what more you could ask for in return for £60! I think it's really unfair when people leave ridiculous reviews about small, local businesses just because they are in a huff. Looking

Horrible job! Very dirty crew Told me if i didn't invest in a chimney Liner I would jepordize my family safety. I paided $2,200 for aluminum liner. Not up to code.! Technician asked to use my 2 xs . bathroom and stunk up my whole home. So disappointed with this company and tge thugs that represent this firm. Homeowners BEWARE!

Waited a month for my appointment. I had a text the day before to remind me. On the day the chimney sweep arrived at the wrong time even though it had been arranged a month before. Michelle Seymour admitted that it was her mistake but because they were busy they couldn't come back until Janary 2016 which is absolutely no good. Rubbish customer service. Mistakes happen but it is how they are dealt with which is the most important and unfortunately this needs to be learnt by Michelle.

Excellent and swift service provided by this firm. We moved recently and after always living in flats previously, needed our first ever chimney swept and cleaned out. I had visions of everything being covered in soot but it was done and cleaned up without a spec of dirt anywhere.
They also prepare your chimney for log burners, provide chimney restoration and remove any birds nests. Quotes are done free of charge and prices are really reasonable.
