As any professional will know, having the right equipment for the job is half the task. I've met enough chimney sweeps driving around with only a low powered vacuum cleaner and a set of drain rods to know there are some chimneys out there not being swept correctly. It outlines the best practice to be carried out by any member of the above bodies to ensure that householders using their services will receive the safest and most professional service when having their chimney swept.
Carbon Monoxide (CO) is a colourless, tasteless and odourless gas. It is known to be highly toxic, can cause severe illness and in the worst cases, death. It is slightly lighter than air, however as the difference is small, in a contained environment such as a room in a house the gas will naturally diffuse evenly.

Absolutely fantastic service!! Ben was highly knowledgeable, friendly, polite, on time, clean, skilled and very willing to explain what he did and how we could maintain our fireplace and stay safe. Very happy, customer for life! Would happily recommend to anyone. And you get a certificate, for your insurance... what's not to like?!

An efficient and extremely clean service. I hadn't had my chimney swept for some years and Bens reassurance that he could accomplish, what appeared to be, an almost impossible task left me and my wife very happy. It was great to meet someone who takes time and care with his job and who is also very knowledgeable.
