I design and produce distinctive unique, often colourful, figurative and abstract handmade tiles, hand decorated tiles and tile panels for public and private interior walls. Examples of different bespoke handmade tiles and tile panels for different situations - both public and private spaces - bathroom tiles, kitchen tiles, splashback tiles, wet room and shower tile panels, dado tiles, border tiles, and plain tiles.

Bronwyn Williams-Ellis' studio in Old Orchard, central Bath is just off Walcot Street in the historic workshop area of the city, a use which dates back to the Roman period. I am an artist and one of the now too few independent designer craftspeople producing two dimensional ceramics and tiles! For over 30 years I have specialised in designing and making bespoke ceramic tiles. Using that expertise and artistic technique I can create for you your own original and striking tile projects.

With handmade bathroom tiles you can have all sorts of fun. From hand decorated tile walls of swimming sea fish for the shower, plus a dado and bath splashback of fish tiles to match, to something minimal for a rural cottage -a stylish handmade clay tile border with an inset handmade tile mosaic panel very simply set in standard white tiles.
Handmade kitchen tiles can range from a few quiet simple traditional blue and white tiles set into a ground of plain tiles, to a major focal point like the 'De Morgan' style kitchen recess of handmade tiles below, with a fully decorated central panel tile mosaic border and plain tiles glazed to order.

You won't find my tiles in tile shops, or DIY stores; they are not a quick fix and are not mass produced, neither are they instant art, or a standard range.
