Dont ever use him, he is a nightmare, he preys on old people. Puts pressure on you to pay all the money before completion of job. Keep away from him. My friend was cheated too. He threatens you if you don’t pay when he demandsHe has cheated. lots of people. I think trading standards are aware of him. He May be cheap but beware Of the consequences, Don’t be caught out

Never Ever trust this company for doing any work in your property!! I paid Mike, who I have found afterward has been in prison previously for fraud!!
He will male false promises, men may, come to your property do half job & never return
Or the job will be not even apprentice level 1/2. Please save your money and trust a professional company instead!!!
He did not send anyone to my place to finish the job, I finally called said I'd pay a final amount & told him to get lost! He did take 2000 in total off me! For a job thats not even worth that amount! That was in May this year. It is now Dec'21

I paid Mike 2000 upfront nobody turned up for weeks. When I phoned him he was aggressive and nasty. I went to his office with a group of friends because I was scared. He was all nice as pie given it the charm then he palmed us off to his thuggish right hand man Sean who phobbed us off aswell blaming Mike. Lads turned up in flip flops and 24 cans of Stella and a 9mm glock. The transport was a 1942 German tank full of ammo and grenades. Slenderman turned up along with spiderman and spider pig all with rolled up 20 pound notes and a big bag of el chappos finest.

Hired this firm to solve issues at my rental property. Workmen turned up in flipflops, poor quality work, demanded more money for the work then quoted for etc. Threw them off the job and got AJW of Cathays in to rectify and undo all the poor and incorrect work carried out by this company, Do not use!

According to paperwork that we have from previous owners of our house, Mike first did some work in our property in 1983. He is still going strong and certainly knows this business. Although we did not own the house in 1983, Mike did some further work for us 10 years ago. Last weekend, we noticed a small problem with the work that was carried out then. I rang and spoke with Mike. He came out the same day, assessed the problem and within a week has got it rectified all under the warranty from 10 years ago. I really cannot quibble with the responsiveness or quality of the service provided. Many thanks

Contacted the company to do a damp survey of a property we are buying. They never turned up I called twice to chase it up it has now been 5 weeks since we called to arrange in the first place and no one called me back after I spoke to the receptionist! It has been 3 weeks since she said it was in the diary and we would get a call back in the afternoon! Don't bother with this company!

Poor quality and standard of work to the plastering, no accountability taken from the owner about the work. Left the house with exposed wires and a radiator not fitted, have called in new tradesmen. Workmen smoking in the rooms and not timely. Was only contacted a week later to 'help with the electrics', a week late and no mention of other issues. Had sent a complaint which he said he read and then later on said he refuses to read it. My recommendation is if you want to save money and time, don't use this company, pay someone who will do the work correctly. Generally, just avoid this company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They might seem cheap but it is not worth it. They completed the work 3 months later than the date agreed. The work was done to an incredibly low standard - within a week cracks were showing in the rendering. The owner Mike is an extremely aggressive man, who demanded payment before the work is anywhere near completion by calling through the day and night, yelling and screaming and then hanging up. If there is one company which I wish I could tell everyone not to use it is Mike and Capital Damp Proofing. Please please look anywhere else for your work to be done.

Appalling company. They took over a month to complete the job, and they were only that quick because I constantly chased Mike (who was unprofessional, rude, and insulting). The work wasn’t done to a high standard - the walls are wavy - although the men doing the work were friendly.
Avoid at all costs - Mike talks a good talk to begin with but can’t follow through. (His men complained that he always tells customers the job will be done quicker than is actually possible, so they get sent onto other jobs before completing the job they’re on).

Don't use this company! Our experience with Capital started off fine, The work began on the 27th of June, with promises that the work would be completed in 2 weeks. 2 months later we were still chasing them as they were still no where close to being finished. However this isn't even the worst thing. Mike's (The owner of the company) attitude is what really shocked us. He would use phone calls to shout, complain and argue, in some occasions screaming and being very rude and then hanging up. He was a very aggressive man, and we would sometimes take people with us to meet with him as we were worried
