Unless the fire manufacturer's instructions specifically state otherwise, all open fires (solid fuel or gas) need a hearth. A hearth should extend forward from the fireplace opening 300mm (12") and 150mm (6") either side of the fireplace opening. These measurements are taken from the front of fireplace opening or, where the fire itself is recessed into the opening, from the front of the burner.
We initially saw the fire on line & researched several suppliers one of whom was Easy Fireplace. Initial contact was by telephone, we were given clear precise answers to our various questions. The surveyor came along within a day & was able to give us a price for the fire, fitting & the necessary remedial work to the flue.

I bought a multifuel burner way back in September last year and have waited to see how it goes before writing a review. I can honestly say I could not be happier. There was a problem with the size of the opening to the chimney breast in my house (it's not a traditional build) and Joseph went over and above to find me a suitable burner. Helpful and efficient service in the showroom, professional and quality fitting. I can highly recommend.

Excellent service from every member of staff we met from our initial enquiry and visit to the showroom, the home visit by Chris to measure and quote for the job to the fitters who completed the work in one day as promised. All work was completed to a high standard and we are very pleased with our new fireplace and fire. Would highly recommend.

Just had my fire place fitted today. My partner chose the fireplace with out me seeing it. The service in the showroom was fantastic. The fireplace was exactly as shown/described. Bespoke fire surround was perfect and fitted exactly as was measured. The fitter Jason was amazing and attention to detail was spot on. Not a point in installation was I thinking I had made a mistake. The fireplace looks like it had always been there. So happy I decided to use this company. Very happy and would definitely recommend to any one.5*

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We had a log burner fitted last year, we questioned the workmanship and fitting at the time of installation. Easyfires agreed they would return to rectify the issues we had however despite contacting them via telephone and registered post they never returned. We then had a Gas safe inspection, where Easyfires were invited to come back with the engineer to assess the work they had done to see if it was safe and fitted correctly. Easyfires failed to turn up to the inspection and it turned out the log burner was NOT SAFE and we now have had to remove the burner and have it reinstalled

The service we received from both the showroom staff and installation team has been absolutely fantastic. The wealth of knowledge over product suitability is excellent, and needless to say, we are extremely happy with the two wood burning stoves installed in our home.
The installation was split over two visits, and we were kept updated at every step along the way. The team ensured our personal belongings were covered during the liner installation, and carried out a clean-up after installation.
