Effective insulation is a proven way to same energy as well as making a home more comfortable and cheaper to run. It's a clean process and it only takes around half a day to improve the insulation in most properties. Also check out the grants that are currently available for home insulation. If you receive certain benefits you may even qualify for FREE insulation.

You will see immediate improvements which is a warmer home in winter and a cooler home in summer as well as reduced energy bills. Known as ECO for short. This is a Government initiative, funded by the energy suppliers, to reduce carbon emissions. Householders can get help to make their homes warmer and cheaper to run which helps to keep down CO2 emissions.

Cavity wall and loft insulation are two of the most cost effective way of achieving this. About UsEnergy Grants Direct was set up to help the Government achieve their Carbon Emission Reduction Target. Our remit is to promote the uptake by home owners of energy efficiency measures such as cavity wall insulation and loft insulation.

Free insulation offer is available for average sized properties. If your property is exceptionally large for its type there may be a client contribution required. Our Assessor will need to visit the property to check the suitability of your property for cavity wall or loft insulation or external wall insulation.

The most common forms of wall cavity insulation used in the UK today are the mineral wools and bonded bead. The material grouped under mineral wool, are Rockwool, Whitewool, and Yellow wool.
Loft insulation is the most cost effective energy efficiency measure and will usually pay for itself within 3 years and will continue to reduce annual heating costs on most home types by up to 20%. Current U.K building regulations require 270mm (10.5 inches) of insulation in the loft. It's worth improving the thickness of your insulation if you have 100mm (4 inches) or less, otherwise you are simply letting money go through the roof.
You can actually call us and talk to us, which is not the case with many other sites on page one of google. This means that we are no longer able to take anymore enquiries for free solar. However a paid solar system is still a great investment even with the feed in tariff at the reduced rate. If free solar does return you can still register your details and we will contact you if there are any changes.
These energy saving tips have been bought to you by the Energy Savings Trust, which was set up by government to promote energy efficiency and help people save money. Did you know for instance, that in most homes, lighting accounts for 10-15% of the electricity bill? If you are away for a few days then leave the thermostat on a low setting to provide protection from freezing without costing too much.
