Having shopped with Empire for over 30 years (my children too), my wife wanted to purchase a fridge freezer (a easy task, easy purchase - a easy sale!!).
We found a cheaper online purchase price BUT keen in these uncertain times to continue to supporting local we wanted to buy from empire.
My wife found called into store found the fridge, needed delivery of the item and the old fridge/ freezer removing, not a problem she was told.
The fridge freezer arrived, old moved out of the way and as the delivery men started to walk off she asked when they were taking

After having a total nightmare with my order and non delivery with CURRY'S IN ASHTON, I decided in future to only use local stores. Went down Saturday picked a fridge/freezer and washing machine, not mithered by salesmen while looking but helpful when asked. (he was not prepared to barter, but got to try being a Martin Lewis fan). I paid my money, delivered within the 2 hour time slot stated on Monday. Cannot comment on after service, I hope I will never need it!

Never again will I go to the big stores to buy an appliance. No hassle being followed round the store. In bought a cooker of our choice which was cheaper than Curry’s loaded in the car and home in 1/2 hour That would have taken at least 2 hours in curry’s and lots of pointless chat. Thank you we’ll be back

We visited about two weeks ago in search of a double oven. Staff here were brilliant, they gave help and advice but were not pushy. We decided on a Neff Double Oven that we could see on show. Couldn't believe the amazing service we received. The oven was fixed and running 90 mins later!! That must be a record. They also took away the old oven.… Prices were competitive so we felt we got good value. I also phoned them today with an enquiry about a matching door handle. They could not have been more helpful and pleasant. Top marks. We will return in the future and feel very confident with the

Excellent service from choosing an electric cooker, ordering over the phone and fitted at a convenient time. Installation and removal all went well by a lovely guy. Don't bother with the big companies shop local. Cheapest installation and removal available

Poor experience - very disappointed. Don't waste your time or money
Bought a fridge a few months ago which is faulty. I've been to the shop twice in a week to pick up the replacement and it was closed on both occasions despite me being there during the opening hours.
When I've phoned the shop the staff have been rude and dismissive. I won't spending my money there again

Brilliant store. Open on a Sunday. I rang up to check they had the cooker element I needed in stock and they did. Upon collection the gentlemen was polite and friendly and offered advice. I scoped the stock on offer in store while we were there and it looked good. Especially a pink smeg toaster and kettle. Many thanks.

Only thing I would recommend is that when you buy a gas cooker the staff tell you about the need to get it fitted by a qualified gas fitter at a cost of £55 to £60 at the till not when it's in your kitchen
