On this sad day we look back at one of many visitors interested in the developing technology.

With a Maxmatic, food waste is flushed away down your existing drain, leaving your food preparation and bin area's clean and free from hygiene problems. No more unpleasant odors from overflowing bins or leaking bags. With a MAXMATIC unit virtually all food waste including small bones can be disposed of at the flick of a switch, unavoidable spillage and residue from semi-liquid foods such as casseroles, become a thing of the past.
These units are either factory re-built from service exchange or new build that have some sort of superficial imperfection that will not affect its performance or life expectancy. We fit new water-seals and make all the latest production modifications, as far as reasonably possible we clean all reused parts, but some parts like the drain chamber and spout may be stained.
As waste is safely flushed through your existing drainage system to a treatment works, there is a reduced reliance on refuse collection and associated fuel consumption. The addition of food waste to sewage aids the production of a valuable resource, currently the majority of this is recycled for forestry and other agricultural uses.
It is most important that a few basic rules are followed to ensure correct operation. A bad installation will result in pipe blockages, smells and a greatly reduced life expectancy of the unit and may invalidate your warranty. Bottle traps must not be used. If the run to the drain is long or meandering, it is advisable to increase the diameter to 54mm (2).
On Thursday afternoon at 4.30 I finally located you on your new telephone after an abortive attempt in Coleshill. I explained to your young lady the part I was seeking, she said 'yes', took my credit card number and said it would be dispatched in two or three days. She was so convinced that it was the right part that she informed me her name was Emma and I could call back if I was not satisfied.

Most waste disposal units eventually rust through at the top where it attaches to the sink. At about 2pm on Thursday ours stopped because two of the three bolts had sheared and the third gave way when I started to investigate. I phoned but it went to voicemail - Covid-19 was impacting on the service available. I found the exploded view online at max-appliances, identified the six parts I needed plus the three bolts and placed an order, paying £56 safely through Paypal. Immediate acknowledgement received and two and a half hours later another message told me the order was complete. 11am next morning
