Hip to Gable loft Conversion - converting the sloped side of the a roof into a flat side to increase space. We would recommend talking to your local building authority whether you are allowed to submit a planning application to extend your roof in the above cases.
Applying for building regulations approval is a must, irrespective of whether you need planning permission. Below we have put together a guidance summary for making alterations to the loft space of an existing house which is no more than two stores high. An excessive additional load may mean that the joists are loaded beyond their design capacity.

Everything done in our loft conversion was incredibly well and tightly managed by Klod, Meri and Rob. They worked closely with us during the project work and we are nothing short of delighted with smooth running of things and the quality of the finished project. Work was completed on time as their project plan. They were friendly and approachable and very efficient and helpful. Everything was made as simple and stress free as possible for us. Excellent company, would highly recommend. Work was started on schedule and was completed in almost exactly the time Klod and Miri predicted. No hidden costs – the estimate they gave us at the beginning was 100% accurate, and when we asked them to do some additional roof and chimney work in the middle of the construction, they did it very quickly and for a reasonable fee. Whenever we'd get in contact with them to report some problem (and there are always problems), they'd respond quickly and usually the issue would be sorted by next day. We unexpected met Klod and Miri in our friend's house and we are very happy to knowing that their business is goes well. According to our project last year, I must to say they were super excellent, professional, and willing to make an attitude. My friend highly recommended Lofts365 Limited for our loft conversion and they didn't disappoint to our family, acutely they did the job superbly.
Klodi and his team were friendly, conscientious throughout the build and did their best to ensure that the disruption and mess was kept a minimum. All team members were highly professional, polite and helpful and we had really appreciated their affords.

We glad that we chosen Lofts365 for our refurbishment. The work established extremely well and quick. We are pleased with their excellent work. All team members worked in all weathers, tidying up at the end of each day. Klod and Mire were reliable and consulted us if there were any problems or alterations that were needed. They came daily base to view the construction and ask if we were satisfied with everything. They were always quick to reply to any questions or queries that we had. As I’m working in the property industry, I would like highly recommend Lofts 365 Limited to everyone else. I have seen literally 100s and 100s of loft conversions and honestly my conversion is one of the best by comparison I’ve ever seen. The build was very timely with all level communication and the whole job was finished much quicker than I anticipated. They definitely have to get 5 stars. Would highly recommend and use again.

The project manager and main contractor were professional, efficient and kept constant communication throughout.
