Established in 1994, The Sash Window Workshop is a premium manufacturer and installer of traditional wooden windows and doors in London and the South of England. We also offer a supply only service across Great Britain and a draught proofing service for wooden windows in London and the South.
We understand the importance of providing a high quality product and service, reflected by the fact that over half our orders come from previous customers or recommendations.We are also proud to be a Which? Operating out of our factory in Berkshire, we manufacture and install complete new sash windows, wooden casement windows, external French doors, timber Front doors, Stable doors, Sliding doors and Bi-fold doors.
We also supply and install secondary glazing and new sashes into existing frames (replacing just the moving parts) for timber windows. Our repair services comprise draught sealing and minor repairs. The majority of our replacement wooden windows and doors are double glazed.

The Sash Window Workshop specialise in manufacturing, installing and repairing timber windows and doors across London and the South. Our employees are experts in their fields and will provide you with high quality, thermally efficient windows and doors that will work perfectly. Today we are still an independently run company.
Traditional timber windows and doors were not manufactured to accepted standards as they are today. Consequently, every window or door that we repair or manufacture is different, meaning that we have to pay extraordinary attention to detail. When you make your initial enquiry, a member of the office sales team will make a note of your requirements, contact details and the address where the work is being carried out.
In 1994, The Sash Window Workshop started operating out of a small converted pig shed in Ascot, Berkshire. The business has grown over the years and now trades out of our two workshops in Bracknell, Berkshire. We pride ourselves on the fact that we manufacture all our timber windows and doors at our premises in Bracknell and keep our work in house.

Fantastic experience overall; will be coming back to them for our final window, when we do the bathroom.
The workmanship and material of the windows is excellent quality and look beautiful (we chose Accoya wooden frames). Their employees were easy and helpful to work with throughout the process, from design and survey, through to the installation process.
Installation went perfectly to the predicted schedule (3 days for 15 units across 4 rooms), even with one of the glass units having cracked during transport and having to be replaced mid-install.

A very straightforward and professional process from start to finish. My initial phone enquiry led to a surveyor’s visit, where we discussed my requirements. I received to two quotations based on differing specifications. Having chosen the most suitable for my needs, the order was placed and the window frame was ready and installed in the time frame agreed. Installation was quick and straightforward, and the fitter tidied up afterwards and removed the old window frame. An excellent job.

In 2012 I ordered triple laminated sash windows for my bay. They came with a special type of wood which lasts longer. Little did I know they would be tested to the ultimate. In December 2019 a car crashed into the bay. I was sleeping less than a metre away. The impact was so destructive that the next door railings were flattened, the cherry tree in front of my flat was uprooted, my railings were flattened, and the pillars and stairs belonging to three houses were destroyed. We only ordered one window in the middle of lockdown but despite this we received prompt and excellent service and communication about our order. The window itself was delivered very well protected and immaculately clean. It is clear that a great deal of care is taken in creating these beautiful windows that will last a lifetime.

I am absolutely thrilled with my new sash windows. The whole process has been excellent: from being shown round the workshop to the survey to the installation. The carpenter Paul who installed the windows did a fantastic job taking out the old windows and restoring the frame before installing the new windows. I highly recommend this company.
