Lachlan made the decision to form A Touch of Gas after completing his gas apprenticeship with Scottish Gas in 2000, and spending several years gaining experience in the gas and heating industry. Lachlan's expert knowledge in servicing and repairing fires, means that we are proud to be one of Scotland's few recommended contractors for fire manufacturers Gazco and Drugasar.
It is recommended that all gas boilers and fires should be serviced on an annual basis by a registered Gas Safe engineer. Regularly servicing ensures your appliance is working safely and to its optimum capacity. For customers with reasonably new appliances, the manufacturer often states that the appliance must be serviced annually for the warranty to remain valid.
