We repair most large electric domestic appliances, such as washing machines, dishwashers, fridge freezers and cookers/ovens on-site in your property. Between our very extensive van stock every engineer carries and also our accounts with specific manufacturers/distributors, this allows us to source most parts and repair almost all brands of appliance quickly.
Here at Lothian Domestics, we believe in a full transparency approach with our customers. To accomplish this, we give all contract customers such as housing associations, letting agents and landlords secure access into sections of our systems so you can view the status of all the jobs you have sent us, online at any time, day or night.
Lothian Domestics are the only Samsung Authorised Service Centre for appliances within the EH postcode area. This means we are the only company able to send an engineer who is trained and authorised by Samsung to respond to any problems that occur with your appliance, both during and outwith the manufacturer's warranty period.
We are trying to keep things as close to normal as possible, but we do have extra safeguarding procedures in place. Our engineers need a lot more time for each job to ensure they are able to follow all our safety requirements to the letter, so we can only take on a limited amount of calls. Our engineers will also be wearing a mask for your protection.

I cannot rate Lothian Domestics highly enough, even though they did not wind up performing my repair. I used their very handy online booking tool to schedule a washer/dryer repair. The next day, I got a call from their reception. One of their engineers had taken a look at my description of the fault, and determined that the repair could very well be incredibly expensive, and that I could probably save money by going directly through the manufacturer as they will have better access to hard-to-find parts. Amazing service, managed to get an earlier appointment that had been cancelled. Paul arrived first thing in the morning, abided by covid guidelines, got right to work diagnosing the fault and had the pump out and replaced within 20 minutes. Very professional, skilled and speedy which made minimal impact to my day.

Communication was great from booking to visit. Unforeseen circumstances meant my appointment time couldn’t be met but I was moved to the afternoon slot. 2 engineers turned up and the job was completed in the space of 20 minutes. Left the area clean and gave me a full run down of what had been done. Would use again for any domestic appliance repair.

William identified the issue that was an electrical fault with the wiring of the house rather than the washing machine, and tested the washing machine was still receiving power so as to be confident that once the electrician has been that the washing machine will work again. Exceptionally Good Customer Service very very helpful and responded quickly to my query. Excellent communication on everything from what to expect to COVID guidelines. Engineer was on time very polite and friendly. Explained what issue was with my washing machine, what cost was and that he could fix it.
