Alastair, who came to visit my property was very honest in his findings and did not try and push any of his services. He advised me on what methods to take to fix a condensation issue. Other surveyors have visited and tried to tell me they would need to hack walls and all sorts. I would definitely recommend Mercian to anyone that is after a genuine survey.

After having damp highlighted on my home survey report I contacted Mercian Preservation to attend site to provide a damp report. I am very pleased with the service as the company were so helpful from the very beginning and provided the report within the same week.

Very poor service, waited two and a half weeks for a reply about the T&D report we ordered, no phone calls or emails returned only to receive an email on Tuesday informing us that the report had never been booked. Really disappointing and a major delay on our mortgage offer. Would never recommend this company.

Wanted some advice about damp proofing lady at the other end of a phone was really helpful. I know that years ago damp proofing surveys were free but things have changed they all seem to charge a fee now. I have been phoning around and Mercian appears to be the cheapest at £ 70 and that's for a damp and timber survey. Compared to other common charging over £150. Mercian to have been around for a number of years and is reliable so I will be getting in contact with them to don't us a survey.
