A Condensing boiler operates similarly to Non-Condensing, however before the hot gases reach the flue, they go through a secondary stainless steel heat exchanger, which effectively lengthens the heat transfer time. Basically, a Non-Condensing boiler has a single heat exchanger chamber, where the hot gases from the burner, pass through to heat the water within the walls of that exchanger, before reaching the exit flue.

Select from the categories below to find the right boiler for you. If you have an questions specifically for each boiler, you can find more information on the Boiler Information page or select the tooltip on each category. Complies with the EC low voltage and electromagnetic compatibility and efficiency directives.
Mistral has a network of installers which we can call upon to fit and service your boiler. The boiler must be installed by a suitably qualified person, such as an Oftec approved, or similar, engineer, and paperwork, specifically a CD10 installation document completed. Alternatively, the installation must be approved by Building Control.
Every time your burner initially fires, it creates very minute particles of soot, which can cling to the internal sides of the heat exchanger and this can gradually build up over a period of time. If left, it can get to a stage where more and more particles are attracted to this area and this can have an adverse affect on the operation of the boiler.
For more than 40 years, Mistral has been manufacturing condensing and non-condensing boilers for customers across the UK. Our boilers are subject to extensive testing and our range is being continually developed to offer the best value for money and energy efficiency. Only Mistral can offer a Condensing Kitchen/Utility, Sealed System, or Combi boiler, up to 41 kw which still fits under a work surface.

Stumbled across Mistral when i was unable to get hold of a Grant boiler. Mistral had everything in stock and were very helpful on the phone in pointing me towards one of their distributors (Dobies in Livingston). Price was very competitive compared to the Grant. What i also like about Mistral is it seems to be an engineering lead business, not a marketing one and the focus seems to be all about the product design and build. They also use the Reillo burner, which all fitters and engineers are familiar with as Grant and many others also use them.
