IBT Building & Timber (Merchants) Ltd is an Independent Builders Merchant supplying an excellent range of quality building and timber materials to the Trade and Public throughout East and West Central Scotland for over 16 years. From our well situated site in Grangemouth, with its second to none transport links, we provide a first class service to everyone from large construction companies to the one off home improver.
Our fleet of vehicles ensure a prompt delivery service. We are part of the National Buying Group (NBG) which has circa 90 members. Being part of this group, gives us access to quality, market leading products and the necessary competitive buying rates, which we can pass on to our customers.

Services
At IBT, we feel we have a part to play in supporting the local community and have, in the past, sponsored local schools, customers and community groups to enable trips and events. Examples of this would be our support of Grangemouth High School's trip to China in 2018, supplying of materials for openspaces at Rannoch Nursery in Grangemouth and Slamannan Early Learning Centre in 2019.
Landscaping your garden and outside area is a great opportunity for you to imprint your personality and style on to the land outside of your property. The possibilities are endless with the large range of material on offer from Porcelain, Sandstone and Concrete Paving to softer materials such as Sleepers, Decking and Fencing.
Timber and Sheets are a core product category for builder's merchants and at IBT, we consider environmental and sustainability issues as part of our purchasing policy.
With our partnerships and certifications with FSC (R) (Forest Stewardship Council (R)) and PEFC (TM) (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (TM)), we have a framework that enables us to identify and move away from materials coming from unknown or unacceptable sources.IBT has achieved registration to continued chain of custody with both bodies.

Good prices, friendly and helpful staff and fair delivery charge. Delivery driver was also exceptionally helpful, calling 15 mins before he arrived, slitting open the bulk bags of stones and placing the sleeper where I wanted it. Huge help when you've been doing the garden on your own - so it was very much appreciated. Much better than the brand name companies and less hassle re delivery. I will definitely be using IBT again for the back garden. First class.

They are generally pretty competitive and stock a decent range of timber and building supplies.
I generally buy timber and boards, etc., so am not sure how competitive they are with their building side.
As it is local to me I generally go in to the office and order my products in store.
The staff and friendly and professional and knowledgeable.
They don't have a wide choice og lengths on many pieces but will allow you to cur them to fit in your car or van.
If its a stock item and you wish to take it away, you drive to the yard at the back and they bring the goods out for you. Be aware you
