Sedgemoor Tree Services
Tree surgery is our core business, from the largest tree dismantles to the finest pruning work. Single trees or on mass, we have the tools, equipment and skills to complete any job. Like most businesses we have many strings to our bow and supply a whole range of associated services and products. From consultancy to woodland services, covering a broad spectrum but individually complimenting our core business.

The best advice can sometimes be free, here is a page of snippets and helpful tree stuff. Last week we had our quinquennial full reassessment, for the coveted Arboricultural Association Approved Contractor Scheme. It pleases us to say that we sailed straight through, with full. It pleases us to say that we sailed straight through, with full approval.

This comes as no surprise to us, as we have recently been through a very demanding ISO process. We have some very particular clients, which by meeting their requirements drives us to efficiency perfection. But of course none of this would be possible without the incredible, hardworking, conscientious, highly skilled team we have here.
Services
We are a family run business, located in Combwich, Somerset. Based on the edge of the Quantocks and The Somerset Levels, covering Taunton, Bridgwater, Weston-super-mare, Street, Glastonbury and the M5 corridor from Bristol to Exeter.
We are recognised as the best at what we do. We are only one of 280 approved contractors in the UK. This makes us incredibly proud to have achieved this accreditation, as there are 12,000 insured tree surgeons throughout the country, with countless uninsured trading as bona fide tree surgeons. We aim to provide the highest quality service we can with all areas of our work.
Small and Micro woodlands are suffering major neglect from lack of sustainable management which is advancing in the overall decline and interest in these potentially rich environments. Systems of management can easily be implemented and adhered to with minimal input, there are often grants available for all aspects of this sector depending on you and your circumstances.
There is a need for tree owners to regularly inspect their trees to ensure their "duty of care" has been met. Under the "duty of care", the person or organisation responsible for the tree, must take reasonable care to avoid acts or omissions, that could reasonably be foreseen, would be likely to cause harm to persons or property.
There is more to tree management than cutting bits off when necessary. Trees are real survivors and can grow pretty much anywhere, but a lot of trees are under pressure from their local environment and some are in a state of semi permanent stress. Trees, like us, tend to get bad health when they are under stress from bad conditions.

Report
From start to finish, Sedgemoor Tree Services were fantastic. A very prompt response from my initial phone call resulted in a site survey. The team that turned up were incredibly professional, polite and on time. A full risk assessment was conducted prior to work.
If it wasn't for the lack of the former trees, you wouldn't know they attended the house, the garden was cleaned, the drive was cleaned.
Very, very impressed with the service and will definitely be using the company for the next phase of my project.
Thank you!
Malcolm Cook.
