Building Shop is a family run business with experienced staff offering over 40 years experience in supplying building materials to the trade and public. The management having previously owned a Timber and Builders Merchants realised there was a niche in the market for a building material supplier who could respond faster to a builders needs as we appreciate it is not always possible to order goods well in advance and you may not have the time to fully capitalise on every order.

No however if you need a building material delivery at a certain time we will do our best to deliver as close to that time as possible. We never turn any enquiries away. There are thousands of building materials out there, so if you can't find what your looking for, give us a call or email us using our enquiry form & we will source the item for you.
General Building Products (aggregates, bricks & blocks, cement etc) are free delivery over 100 nationwide. In order to provide the best & fastest service possible, delivery charge categories are charged individually so you may have a combination of charges in your basket. Online orders must be over 100 to be eligible for delivery but may incur a delivery charge.
Our range of aggregates are suitable for a variety of building work, with quality products you are guaranteed a quality and long lasting finish. Our sand products include soft sand, (suitable for bricklaying and pointing, leaving a smooth finish), sharp sand, (suitable for laying paving or mixing in cement along with gravel), both of these are available in fine or coarse variations to further tailor the products to your needs.
Our range of cement products are perfect for a variety of purposes including use in concrete, mortar, render or screed. For the more aesthetic purposes, our cement is light in colour. Our cement range is created with the purpose of improved workability, cohesion, finishing and resistance to freeze-thaw.
Bricks are one of the most fundamental materials within the construction trade, and we have a fantastic range of common bricks, structural engineering bricks, facing bricks and second-hand yellow stock bricks to choose from. All of our bricks are durable against frost, built for strength and comply with the British Standard requirements.

Building shop went above and beyond for me! Really great company who are very genuine and want to help out everyone as much as possible. Managed to get my delivery in time for when I had landscapers (my fault for ordering so late!) but Gary managed to help get my delivery in time for the work to be done. Huge huge thank you and really recommend using them!!

I would never recommend this company. I feel like they have ripped me off. They took my order from me (thermalite blocks - it took 5 minutes) then placed the order with Selco (who I have an account with )who were doing a special offer at the time. The order was delivered by a Selco van along with a Selco delivery note. They charged me £0.30p per block for just taking a 5 minute phone then placed the order with Selco. A total disgrace.

I definitely recommend people to use this shop.
I am so satisfied with the building shop's services. They are so friendly , kind toward their customers. Especially the guy call Gary Jarmen who serviced me and always friendly and be patience with me ( because English is not my first language). He is very considerate person to take care his customer, he never rush me and always be very helpful with what my order, helped me to deal with my matter.
