The company, which is based in Coventry, began trading in 1999 and has many years experience in the wrought iron work profession. Metalman Fabs offer gates, railings and security grilles to suit your budget and requirement. Metalman Fabs Ltd has a satisfied a group of customers, situated in and around Coventry and Warwickshire.
Fantastic job done by Roger and his team of Zac & Neil, comprehensive service from start to finish the gates & railings and so well made and reassuringly substantial in construction I'm over the moon with them, Roger was very receptive to any design or changes we made, courteous, punctual and clear pride in there workmanship.

"ROGER THE ARTFUL DODGER" AVOID AVOID AVOID
I engaged Metalman Fabs in April 2023 for a gate installation, agreeing to a 50% upfront payment with the balance due upon completion. The project commenced two months late in June 2023 and, as of March 2024, remains unfinished10 months beyond the agreed timeline.
Key Issues:
Delays: The project faced numerous postponements attributed to supplier issues, personal appointments, and health concerns. Notably, Roger claimed a severe health condition prevented him from working; however, I later discovered he was concurrently working on another project.
Installation Errors: We specified two arched gates but received one arched and one flat gate. Roger attempted to attribute this oversight to my initial positive comment upon installation, despite the discrepancy becoming evident only after full installation.
Leaking Letterbox: Installed six months ago, the letterbox leaks, rendering it unusable. Roger initially stated that letterboxes aren't guaranteed to be waterproof and offered no immediate solution. Upon contacting his supplier directly, I was informed that non-leaking models were available and received a replacement promptly.
Overpriced Key Fobs: Roger quoted 50 per additional key fob. A brief online search revealed identical fobs priced at 30. Further inquiry with his supplier indicated a cost of 14 each, suggesting a significant markup.
Council Objection: Post-installation, we were informed by the council that the gates required prior approval, leading to a legal dispute. Roger's response was dismissive, indicating he assumed they would be acceptable without verification.
Intercom Installation: Despite prior notice of upcoming porch construction and driveway work, Roger delayed the intercom installation, resulting in suboptimal cable routing. Subsequent issues arose when the intercom malfunctioned after internet installation. Roger prematurely accused neighbors of tampering, causing unnecessary tension, only to later recall the system's initial weak signal.
Throughout this process, Roger consistently deflected responsibility, offering excuses without genuine apologies. His pattern of dishonesty and unprofessionalism has led to significant stress and unresolved issues. I strongly advise against engaging Metalman Fabs for any projects.

Fantastic job done by Roger and his team of Zac & Neil, comprehensive service from start to finish the gates & railings and so well made and reassuringly substantial in construction I'm over the moon with them , Roger was very receptive to any design or changes we made, courteous, punctual and clear pride in there workmanship. I don't normally bother with reviews, but I'm so pleased with the service and straight forward honest approach of a good guy doing it the right way. Good price, great service.

I really don't understand the negative review posted by MJS a few days ago.
I have known Roger and used the services of Metalman Fabs in a variety of different circumstances for a number of years.
I have also referred to various individuals and companies - small and large. I have never EVER heard a negative word said about him or his team's workmanship. In my professional and personal opinion you do not get a higher standard of ethical work or standards in the industry.
It disappoints me to read that the poster hasn't responded to Roger's polite and professional response...
