Today, C J Clarke is an established and highly respected family run timber merchants who are doing well in an increasingly competitive climate. Whilst our roots lay in the past - our eye is very much on the future. We continue to invest in people and technology to improve our service and the experience for our customers.
We stock most common sections and lengths of graded structural timber. C16 and C24 and lengths of up to 7.2 metres in some sections. All the timber is machine graded timber and most is treated ready to go. We keep 5th redwood planed all round and joinery quality board that can be cut and prepared to your requirements.
Plywood has many uses and so there are many types on the market. We keep the most common sizes as stock but are happy to order in special products by the sheet where available. We can offer softwood structural ply and a hardwood throughout paint grade faced ply. We also have a small stock of Marine ply.
Our softwood decking is ex 32 x 125mm (finished size approximately 28 x 120mm) and comes in 4.8m lengths. The timber is grooved for a slip resistant surface and pressure treated. We also stock a range of hand and base rails, spindles, etc. to compliment the decking. Hardwood decking is available as a special order.
We supply manual and electric roof windows, conservation roof windows, roof lights, flat roof windows, smoke ventilation systems and a new range of dormer windows. We also supply Velux Sun Tunnels - these Sun Tunnels allow natural daylight where you never thought possible such as windowless bathrooms, landings, corridors and cupboards.

Having just moved to Witney we needed some timber for a large bespoke bookcase. Not only was the price of the wood less than an on-line supplier but Clarke's provided the timber cut to my specifications in less than a week, the on-line supplier was quoting the new year.. The final pack was delivered well protected and at the time they promised.

Spent a couple of days on the Internet shopping for a considerable amount of timber up and down the country. One merchant had one thing another merchant had something else. I was given the name of CJ Clarke who happened to be a few miles from my home who were able to supply all the items I required at a competitive price. I asked for delivery early on Thursday morning - it arrived on time and the Driver couldn't have been more help as was Heather who talked me through my Order. I believe the timber supplied to be of excellent quality and would use
