County Turf is a family business based in North Lincolnshire and we are growers and suppliers of the very best quality golf turf, sports pitch turf and landscape/lawn turf. We grow a number of different varieties of turf with different benefits and we supply sports stadiums, golf courses, architects, landscapers and wholesalers.
We have been growing over 1,600 acres of high quality turf on some of the coarsest, free-draining, sand rootzone in the UK since 1995. We're specialists in supplying sports turf that meets the requirements of all levels of sport from parks pitches to Premiership. Grown from the latest ryegrass cultivars, our turf produces a fast-rooting, hard-wearing surface that retains a rich winter colour.
Hybrid Grass technologies entered the sporting market 20 years ago. In recent times HERO Hybrid Grass was developed to enhance the performance of these hybrid grass technologies and to meet the growing expectations of customers wishing to benefit from hybrid grass technologies. The aim was to create the perfect playing surface to withstand today's high usage demands on pitches, and to increase the longevity of the surface in playing hours.
Exclusively grown by County Turf in the UK and for Europe under licence from the Motz Group, ECLIPSE Stabilised Turf is a patented combination of natural grass growing in a unique stabilizing mat. The combination produces a natural turf solution that delivers the manageability, playability and flexibility demanded by today's world-class sporting venues.
County Turf's fibre reinforced turf is grown on imported sand rootzone mixed with polypropylene fibres. The reinforced turf provides a surface that is strong and load-bearing, with improved wear tolerance and rapid percolation rates. Reinforced turf is suitable for sports pitches, car parks, driveways and emergency access tracks.
The soil is carefully removed by a highly specialised washing plant to leave the grass sward as a clean uniform root mat. The soil-less turf enables rapid root development with increased root biomass and lateral growth. Washed turf offers increased percolation and the fast downward movement of water away from the surface, avoiding possible contamination of specialist rootzones.
