Granite is an igneous rock and is formed from magma. Formed from molten lava then slowly cooled making it hard and dense as a diamond. Most granite intrusions are emplaced at depth within the crust, usually greater than 1.5 kilometres and up to 50 km depth within thick continental crust. The word granite comes from the Latin granum, a grain, in reference to the coarse-grained structure of such a crystalline rock.
Quartz composites are also often called engineered stone or quartz surfacing. They are popular for kitchen and bath vanity countertops and can also be used for most interior surfaces including bath surrounds and flooring. Quartz surfacing has the look and feel of natural stone, but technically is a solid-surfacing material.
Next, we will cut the worktops based on the templates we've prepared. We will prepare the edges, cut an opening for the sink and polish the surface. We can fit the worktops after approx. 10 days. All upstands will be trimmed from 30mm to 20mm from the same slab, to make sure the colours match. During the installation, we will make the joins using resin, use silicone to seal the sink and level all surfaces.

Rob and his team are the ultimate professionals they have exceeded my expectations in installing two granite work services in two kitchens for a high end holiday let and buildings that are also used for movie locations.
