Choosing Stone Report

Some stone surfaces are more durable than others, please see our short guide below for suitability of certain materials. Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed largely of the minerals calcite and aragonite, which are different crystal forms of calcium carbonate (CaCO3). Some limestones contain fossils and fragments of bone.

Avoid avoid avoid! I’m now in the process of replacing 3 yr old worktop and sink as sink cracked within a year and stonetek won’t respond to phone calls or emails. Make sure you know who you’re employing.

As a small developer we had used another company for quite a few projects and I was advised to try Simon at Stonetek. He has just completed a third job for us and we are very pleased. To us one of the most important things on a worktop is the join and after looking at numerous jobs over the years for some reason, probably skill, they manage to get perfectly smooth and aligned joins. The importance of a superb installation is paramount and I can say that our clients are delighted.

Terrible customer service and completely unresponsive. We waited over a month to get samples a six weeks for someone to measure up and then after two months of constantly chasing on the phone and over email (with no response) we received a note firstly that there was an issue with the supplier. After a further four weeks of chasing we were told someone was unwell. No explanation and no apology despite our best efforts to be understanding and accommodating. I would definitely not recommend using this company from a customer experience perspective.
