Woodpecker Trees were formed in 2018 when J. Melton Tree Services and Eric Hall, an experienced local arborist, merged to benefit from each others' skills and experience. With more than 20 years experience from J. Melton and over ten from Eric Hall working in commercial and residential tree services, we undertake all aspects of tree work, from tree planting and pruning to large tree removal.
Hedges can serve a number of needs, they provide screening from noise and traffic pollution, they provide habitat for birds and insects and are also an aesthetic feature of domestic gardens and commercial premises. Hedges require annual trimming to maintain vigour and shape. We can lower hedge heights and trim the face, giving your hedge a new lease of life, and giving your grounds or property more light.
Woodpecker Trees offer a professional tree stump grinding and removal service for stumps in any location, from narrow access sites to stumps located on building and construction sites. Our specialist machinery causes minimum ground disturbance and is able to remove stumps to a level that allows for the area to be landscaped or built on leaving no evidence of the tree's location.

Woodpecker have just completed the removal of my huge 90’ and around 120 year old beech tree due to it’s being diseased.
I live in a conservation area and all work has to be sanctioned by the Council, Woodpecker services looked after everything from the outset.
The work was not easy, access/egress was poor, meaning all work had to be done by hand.
Woodpecker set about this task unflinchingly and extremely professionally with safety and respect for my garden and property their highest priority.
Their team of three men completed the job in two days, I am highly satisfied with their standard

The woodpecker team recently completed my willow tree removal in my property in Grimsby
The team were efficient and extremely helpful leaving me a pile of logs as requested.
All the surplus debris was removed and the garden left neat and tidy.
