I am a Gas Safe registered Gas Engineer based in Cambridge. I have been an engineer for over 25 years, I completed my apprenticeship with British Gas and am City & Guilds qualified, I worked for them until establishing my own company in 2001. I provide a full range of services to Customers in Cambridge and surrounding villages.
This includes mainly servicing and repairs of gas appliances and central heating systems and installation of gas fires and cookers. I am Energy Efficiency Proficient and hold qualifications that allow me to work on Warm Air Central Heating Systems. I am a Highly Skilled Engineer and I am committed to providing the highest standards of workmanship to all of my customers.

I've been very happy with Cambridge Gas Services Ltd (otherwise known as David Mills). He's an ex British Gas guy and seems to know his stuff. When we had a problem with our cooker last year he was the only person I found who was happy to have a quick look to see if he could fix it, without demanding a 100 call out fee.

We received an outstanding experience this week.
Our boiler gas valve broke last Friday. Despite me contacting him late on Friday evening, CGS (David) phoned back on Saturday morning to check we had hot water and to say he would be around at 8am on Monday morning to confirm his diagnosis and to order the part. He turned up on time and his intuition was correct.
Over the weekend we also discovered we had a faulty immersion heater thermostat, which we mentioned to David on Monday. He sourced and installed a replacement later the same day! Today the gas valve part arrived and it was fitted this

I posted a request for repair of my gas fire late on Friday evening. David (Mills) rang back at 9 a.m. on the Saturday, arrived at 1020h and had repaired and serviced the fire by 1100h - all at a reasonable fee.
Am very impressed. Had been badly let down by two other engineers, one of whom ('Martyn') walked in on my carpeted floors with filthy boots, stated, incorrectly, that I needed a new part and then repeatedly promised to call but failed to turn up to fit it.
