Services
Along with delivering all over the United Kingdom, our 33,000sqft showroom located in Blaydon-on-Tyne with free on-site parking, is the perfect place to turn your house into a home. Not only do we stock an extensive range of fabrics, lighting, rugs and much more, our staff are highly experienced and knowledgeable, giving a personalised service, assisting you with your interior design.
To ensure a more accurate measurement, we recommend the track or pole is fit prior to measuring. As a guide when fitting your track or pole, allow for a 15-20cm gap above the window and extend 15-20cm either side. There is no set rule on the desired drop of the curtain, this is all down to taste. However, as a guide there are generally 4 styles of drops that seem to be the most popular.
You will be required to select which side you want the controller of the blind, ensure there are no obstructions. For best results we advise that you add on 16 cm overlap to the overall dimension for both the width and the drop. Extremely important to note that it is a legal requirement to ensure all blinds are fit with a chain safety bracket.
Orders will be acknowledged on the same day if ordered before 5pm and the next day if after 5pm. Any orders on a Saturday/Sunday will be acknowledged on Monday and we then aim to dispatch all acknowledged orders within 3 working days and depending on the item, goods will be dispatched by one of our nominated couriers.
At The Curtain Store, customer service is very important to us and is at the heart of what we do. Therefore, we have gone to great lengths to make sure that our products are presented to the best of their ability on our website, through multiple images, product descriptions, and specifications. However, we understand that on-screen colours may vary, amongst other factors which is why we offer a 28-day return policy.

Went into store to look at lights.We were told by the first assistant that the ones we liked were out of stock and left us with two books to look at and didn't see her again.Wewere about to leave and then an assistant called Jade appeared.She was so helpful ,put us in contact with Ian who enquired about the lights we liked.They were NOT out of stock.Ian rang us early the next morning to complete the order.I give five stars for the fact that Jade and Ian were so very helpful.

Expecting just an ordinary curtain store? Think again. First time for us. Gosh, what a store. Really lovely experience and they sell so many things for the home including bedding, lighting, gorgeous pictures, rugs and many other items including off course curtains AND they have a quality cafe in house! What a lovely find!

Great little place that sells a mix of curtains, bedding, and other house accessories too - such as light fixtures.
Prices are high, but at good quality. Not extortionate levels, but it isn't a dirt cheap bargain place - which if you go knowing that, you'll pay good prices for good quality items.
Staff are helpful and friendly. Place is kept nice and clean - even cafe and toilets are modern.
Cafe is very expensive, but it's nice for an afternoon tea with family.

Good store has a huge variety of styles and colours. Plenty of ready made with various sizes avaiable, good selection of bedding also available and if your looking for custom made curtains this service is also available with a wide range of materials. We also bought poles and had a wide selection to choose from, staff very accommodating and patient.
