Carbutts Turf are one of the UK's largest turf growers and proud to be a down-to-earth, family-run company for three generations so far over the course of 35 years in business. We were founded in 1974 by brothers Frank and Jeff Carbutt, and since 2003 have been run by Frank's sons Gary and Selwyn Carbutt, who took the helm when Frank and Jeff retired.
Carbutts Turf Delivery works on the principle that "you can't get fresher", with fresh turf harvested daily (weather permitting) and delivered promptly to customers across the UK. Pewitt Hall Farm is just five minutes from Junction 17 of the M6 in Cheshire, which means when a lorry load is ready to go, we can be on the motorway within minutes.
At Carbutts Turf we have been growing and laying turf for residential and commercial customers for half a century and have worked on lawns small and large. We bring all of this experience and expertise into our professional turf laying services, which are available across Greater Manchester and the North West.

Only required 6 sq.metres, but treated as if I was buying 6000!
Directed down to where cutting had stopped for the day & where there were a few part pallet loads. Loaded in estate car rear by helpful chap, paid cash and away to lay!
Top chaps , excellent price and super quality with no plastic netting .
A class act and I will return - from Shropshire!

Absolutely amazing service. Andy came the day I called to take a look at the garden and give me a quote. He beat every other quote I had received (some by a good £1k). He was very knowledgeable, kind and couldn't do enough for us. He was efficient and came 2 days before to turn the soil over to ensure that the grass could have the best start the day it was laid. He was honest about the best time to lay the grass. The guys turned up early on the day and got the grass laid quickly. They thoroughly watered it for us when they were done. They were lovely and so helpful, nothing was too much trouble

Amazing local company with brilliant service. Beat all other quotes, some by a good £1k. Very honest, polite and efficient. Couldn't do enough for us. I would highly recommend them to everyone. I can also vouch… for the grass quality as my parents had them lay some grass in 2016 and it is such amazing quality still (5 years later).

Got a text message advising that my order will be available. Upon arrival I was informed that this wasnt the case. They advised that I could drive to another destination and pick some turf up from there. Upon arrival to the 2nd destination, I was advised that the order was back at the farm.

Dealt with Roland from first call to the laying of the turf and the whole process was a delight.
The guys were quick to answer any queries, swiftly came around to view the job before March 23rd and then proceeded to lay the turf in a socially distanced and responsible manner, when safe to do so.
Great work lads, will recommend wholeheartedly and will call you when it's time to landscape the rear garden!

Amazing service! rang yesterday in hope for turf today and they went above and beyond! said it would be here for midday and got a call at 12:15 saying he was on his way with the turf! when the delivery guy came… he didn't just put it on the drive he took the time to move it around the side of the house into the garden! something that might go a miss with others but to us it was a god send! amazing quality and a reasonable price! would definitely recommend!
