We are a small family company and are NOT associated with, nor part of, any other grouping or franchise. Our company has been operating for well over 40 years and, about 25 years ago, we decided to specialise only in the airconditioning of vehicles. When we decided to specialise, we checked that the name 'Aircon Direct' was a name not being used by any other company.
Aircon Direct was originally started by my dad John, he was obviously given the name "Aircon John" quite quickly, which he is still known by today, although he has almost nothing to do with the business anymore. Our company consists of 2 family members and 1 long term trusted employee. I'm Mark, and in 2001 I started working with my dad, initially just watching and learning the trade.
We offer a variety of services to private and trade customers, ranging from a diagnosis of an a/c system leak or fault from 30 up to full installations. Repairing and replacing parts is a large part of what we do and can supply the best quality parts from a variety of suppliers, often supplying parts the same quality as the dealer at much more reasonable prices.
A common fault with vehicle a/c, the smell is normally a build of bacteria on the evaporator. This can be caused by a low refrigerant charge and/or a dirty cabin (pollen) filter. Normally a recharge and a new cabin filter are sufficient, but we can also clean and deodorise the evaporator with a machine which creates a mist within the cabin if the problem is bad.

Two words which occur over and again in these reviews are Friendly and Professional, and I would completely agree with this description. I would also add efficient and reasonably priced. They diagnosed the problem with my aircon, and fixed it a few days later for the quoted price. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company (hard though it can be to find...). Thanks guys.

I went in last summer to have my aircon fixed, which the gentlemen did to a high quality and for a great price. This summer my aircon had stopped working again so I went into see if they could find the problem. Which they did and fixed as part of the service from last year. To top it off, they even fixed a few other minor issues in the car for free. Fantastic company and customer service. Lovely gentlemen too, and the receptionist was always really helpful. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you.

Air con was not working, they tested it to confirm it was the condenser leaking, ordered a new one, and had it fitted in a fast turn around. Very happy with the service; and happy to have working air con again! Especially thanks to Derek who fitted the new condenser.

I drove a long way to see these guys and I'm really glad I did. Previously I'd been to a well known garage to have my air con regassed. I was told I had a leak. So I decided to go for a second opinion to these specialists, who told me it wasn't leaking and it was fine. They gassed me up and didn't charge me for the diagnosis! Very highly recommended.
