We have been hand-building bespoke kitchens that are hard wearing, functional and versatile from a converted barn in rural Northamptonshire for over 15 years. This is how long it takes from agreeing the design to completion for an average sized kitchen. In the last year, we have designed, built and installed kitchens ranging in price from 8,000 to 50,000, with the average cost of a kitchen working out at around 15,000.

We can design and make beautiful bespoke dressers and cupboards, sideboards, tables and chairs. Solid pieces of furniture that last a life time. We also design and build free-standing island units. Because every piece of furniture we produce is made to measure, it is completely unique and personal to you.

How We Work Report

James Bird is the person you deal with every step of the way. He consults with you in the beginning, draws up your plans and builds and fits your new kitchen with a small team of craftsmen. Your kitchen is probably the heart of your home, the meeting place where your family does a great deal of its day-to-day living.

Craftmanship Report

For me, true craftsmanship comes from passion and a pride for what you do and the work you produce. We only work with sustainably sourced, solid wood and find that working with the wood by hand imparts unique and individual qualities to each piece of furniture we make. The majority of our clients choose painted cabinets, however an oiled, natural finish can enhance the grain beautifully and look stunning.

Pine Report

All our pieces are built from reclaimed timber from old buildings, mainly floorboards and joists. The benefit of using old wood is that it is naturally well seasoned, and therefore does not suffer from the shrinkage, splitting and warping that new timber does. The naturally aged quality of the wood gives the furniture an antique feel from the moment it is made.
