The A1 Flue story began in 1973, when founder Colin Moir started trading as A1 Sheet Metal Co based in a very small unit located just off the A1, in Elkesley, hence the name! Around 18 months later the business was relocated to an old army Nissen hut on Boughton Industrial Estate. In 1993, we merged with Bridge Flue System Sales Limited and the name became A1 Bridge Flue Systems.

We have a comprehensive range of commercial flue systems to ensure that there is an A1 solution for every possible installation - from a skyscraper to a school building and everything in-between. We have built a reputation for the quality, performance and durability of our CE-Marked flue pipes, especially our single-skin flue systems and twin-wall flue systems.
A1 Flue Systems manufactured and installed a flue systems for an Evomod condensing boiler at the National Library of Scotland, which is on George IV Bridge in Edinburgh. As part of the refurbishment of the landmark Cerium Building in Glasgow, A1 Flue Systems was tasked to connect to three 100mm-diameter condensing boilers and a 130mm-diameter water heater.
