Makeover Bathrooms is a family owned company established 1997 in Whickham, Gateshead. Specialising in complete bathroom refurbishments, we have transformed bathrooms all over the North East of England. We take enormous pride in our work and over the years have gained thousands of satisfied customers and a fantastic reputation.
Makeover bathrooms have been in the trade for 17 years and we think we've seen just about every different size and shape bathroom there is. These days when it comes to bathrooms you are spoilt for choice and it can be hard to decide on what you would like to have. More often than not the bathroom is the smallest room in the house, therefore you've got to make the most of the space available to you.
Wetrooms are getting more and more popular these days, its the ultimate luxury in showering. They open up your bathroom giving a contemporary look and creating more space. The main difference between a shower room and a wetroom is that there is no shower tray involved. The floor is completely tanked & tiled with a drain in the floor giving easy access.
We can get bathroom furniture made to measure in any size or any colour from glossy whites, blacks and walnuts to oaks, driftwoods & creams. Add to this a wide range of bush 28mm worktops and handles and we can cater for anyone's tastes. Once you've settled on colours you can then select a semi recessed wash basin and back to wall pan to complement your new bathroom.
For an added touch of luxury why not have underfloor heating installed under your new floor tiles. This is achieved by a thin mesh & cable sheet glued to the floor prior to tiling. The heating matt is then wired to a digital timer which can be set to heat up when you want - eg first thing in the morning and then at bath time.

Excellent service from Carl and Walter. Job completed on time for the agreed price. Very responsive to rectify any issues and we were confident to leave them in the house to complete job whilst we were away. Transformed our bathrooms up and downstairs. Also happy to come back and fit additional fixings as required. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I used Makeover Bathrooms to completely renovate my bathroom January 2020. I required internal cupboards removed, and a door repositioned along with a complete bathroom refit including a shower. The job was completed as guaranteed within 1week. The standard of workmanship and attention to detail was superb and I have no qualms about recommending them to others.

We recently had our bathroom replaced by Carl and his team and can't thank them enough for the superb job they did. They were such hard workers and gave excellent advice offering photos of the work they had undertaken using similar furnishing/tiles etc. They were cheerful and so polite and patient when we chatted about the ongoing work. They cleared everything away and hosed the drive down & young James did a thorough job of vacuuming the stair carpet lol. For a professional job and excellent customer service at very competitive prices I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Makeover Bathrooms.
