I needed a couple of fence posts and fence spikes,. I wasn't sure exactly what I needed and would have liked a bit of advice but it was clear the person I spoke to at the Sidcup yard could not have been less interested in dealing with me bordering on hostile. Maybe I didn't use the right lingo - shame, I will be in the market for a large timber workshop in the spring but will not be getting it from HSW.

HSW Timber provides excellent customer service.
I bought two trellis of two different sizes which had to be delivered from a different branch. One wasn’t available, but they said they’d check and get back to me which they did two days later and they even offered to deliver it to my door for no extra cost.
The trellis look great and only cost half of what I would have paid in a shop or online. Superb service from beginning to end.Highly recommend. Many thanks.

Staff very friendly and delivery drivers good. However, quality of timber not fantastic. Ordered a lot of timber for decking frame and decking. Quality of wood was very mixed. Some of the beams were so twisted as to be unusuable. Decking had around 10% damaged, massive gouges or chunks taken out of sides. Quite a few with large obvious splits that must have been seen by pickers and/or driver. Not great. Obviously when unloaded at destination they are mostly in between others so unless you check every single beam and decking board you are going to get dodgy ones. Not overly impressed, had to purchase

Fantastic place, everyone is really helpful and the prices are very reasonable. My whole garden is pretty much made up of HSW Timber products!! Our fence panels are from there, we have an amazing garden shed from HSW Timber, and also beautiful railway sleepers. They deliver and the guys who came out are really friendly and knowledgeable. Which helps as I am really not at this stuff.
