Richardson Tree Surgery Limited is a family-run business based in Cambridge and run by Edward and Suzie Richardson. We are proud of the reputation which we have gained over the past 40 years as being one of Cambridge's most established and respected tree surgery companies.
We work for several of the colleges affiliated to Cambridge University and have many faithful customers for whom we have worked for many years, which is testament to the high standards to which we operate.Our ethos is to operate to the highest standards, ensuring that consideration is given to trees, nature and wildlife at all times.
Our portfolio of work ranges from small domestic jobs to larger commercial contracts for many of Cambridge's colleges, charities, local councils, golf courses and property developers. As a teenager, Edward helped his father, also a tree surgeon. However, he pursued a career in accountancy. After several years, his passion for trees drew him away from office life and he qualified as an Arborist in 2002.

Richardson Tree Surgery focuses on maintaining trees and hedges to the highest standards, at competitive prices. We don't do gardening, paving, fencing or landscaping, but are happy to recommend some fantastic companies that do. This involves removing trees standing in open spaces, where there is plenty of room to carry out the work.
Tree surgery is a specialist trade, and it takes years of training and experience to be fully confident in carrying out all aspects of arboriculture. It can also be a dangerous trade if procedures are not followed correctly. As a reputable company, with over 40 years' experience of working with trees, we feel that the rates that we charge are fair.
As a teenager, Edward helped his father, John Richardson, who was also a tree surgeon. However, he pursued a career in accountancy. After several years, his passion for trees drew him away from office life and he qualified as an Arborist in 2002. He founded Richardson Tree Surgery the following year and the company has grown to become one of the leading tree surgery companies in Cambridge.

These amazingly kind and wonderful people came out at really short notice to rescue our cat from a very high tree in the neighbourhood and brought a really stressful and unpleasant 24 hours to an end as a result!! It was extremely easy to get hold of them, and they were really flexible (and compassionate!) about coming out and getting the job done with no fuss and no exorbitant fee. I would highly recommend them as a result - they are a small, extremely professional company and we'll definitely use them in the future if we need tree surgery of any kind!

Very happy with work done. All done on time and to a very high standard. They left every thing clean and tidy so much so you would not think we had any work done. Not sure of the lads names that done the work but they where very friendly and a credit to the company. Would use again and highly recommended to any one that wants any tree work done.

The company has done a lot of work over the years on our trees and hedges. Every member of the organisation is always professional, friendly and efficient and each new job progresses smoothly from the initial visit through to the work being completed. We never hesitate in approaching them whenever we want or need work on any of our trees.
