Services
Charlie Vince Tree Surgery offers a highly professional service, covering all aspects of tree work. We will make a site visit to meet with you and any clients, to discuss and advise in detail the works you require.
Biomass is a renewable energy, which is easily collected. It creates far less harmful gasses, such as methane and carbon dioxide, than fossil fuels. It is clearly a fuel for the future. The most obvious source of biomass is trees. Wood fuel can be derived from conventional forestry practice or from tree surgery operations, such as the management of parks, commercial areas and private gardens.
Usually carried out to prevent the tree limbs from growing too large (which can result in them breaking off) or if the customer simply decides that the tree is too big or too close to a building. The whole crown of the tree will be worked on. Simply when there is no other option but to completely remove the tree, due to size, positioning or disease.
Usually carried out to prevent the tree limbs from growing too large (which can result in them breaking off) or if the customer simply decides that the tree is too big or too close to a building. The whole crown of the tree will be worked on. Crown reduction is the reduction in height and/or spread of the crown (the foliage bearing portions of a tree) and can be carried out on all varieties of tree.
Dead wood removal is a process where any non-living branches or stems, due to natural ageing or external influences, are removed. Deadwood provides essential habitats and its management should aim to leave as much as possible.

I feel compelled to say what a wonderful job the three boys did for us at 8 Cambridge Road Girton. Jordan is a real leader, confident, no fuss, focused and very clear on what needed doing. One could see the respect the other guys have for him. Jude did the tough job of trimming lime trees, initially by hand and stayed focused and quietly determined all day long. Jake is a lovely communicator with responding kindly to some of our elderly neighbours. These guys are a class act and I am writing to you personally to ensure this feedback reaches you. I promised them we would pay our invoice immediately

In fairness, many aspects of the experience with this firm were positive, but I was upset that in throwing down the branches of the tree that was being felled the team completely flattened a large area of bedding. I wasn't told that my plants would be ruined when I got the quote. Instead, I was told by the guys on the day that they'd have to squash some of the bedding. I reluctantly agreed to this, but assumed that at least some effort would be made to minimise the area affected. I don't feel such efforts were made as about 4 or 5 square metres of bedding were completely flattened.

Charlie and team did a fantastic job in our garden this week. All the trees and bushes have been cut back - and there was a lot to do - everything then tidied away. The house is so much lighter now. Highly recommended and thank you!

We live in a conservation area meaning we needed advice and planning permission to get some trees removed. From start to finish the whole team were prompt, friendly and professional. The whole process with the planning application was simple and we were kept up to date with how it was proceeding. Once the application was approved the turnaround to get the work completed was very swift. On the day the team arrived early and worked hard the whole time they were here fuelled by the steady stream of cups of tea. Considering how much work was completed the team did a great job of clearing up the area

Charlie’s team did an excellent job removing a leylandii hedge from my front garden, this included removing all debris and digging out the roots. I would use them again and would recommend to others looking for a professional and friendly service.

Charlie and his crew came to us last week and cut about 15ft off of our very tall out of control conifers, they were very professional, very punctual and cleaned up after themselves. It has made a massive difference to our garden. We would definitely use them again

We originally employed Charlie and his team to prune and manage our plum and ash tree and they did a fantastic job. Whilst undertaking the work I mentioned to Charlie that we were looking to get all of our fences replaced and he said this was something they also did so we happily extended their remit. The team worked extremely hard through some of the hottest days of the year and fitted nearly 250ft of very high quality fencing in a short space of time. Their workmanship is to a very high standard and they are a great team who we cannot recommend highly enough.
