Lawn scarification is a process best described as a mechanical raking of the lawn. Its main purpose is to remove thatch and moss from the lawn, which is caused by dead leaves and debris that has accumulated over time, but there are also other associated benefits to this process. At Greensleeves, we use a high quality, professional scarifying machine to do the job.
Aeration is the most effective way of allowing water, air and nutrients to penetrate the grass root and help to alleviate soil compaction. There are two main types of aeration; hollow tine and spiking. Hollow tine lawn aeration is the process of taking small plugs from the lawn, which is the best way of easing compaction and sub-surface thatch, allowing air, water and fertiliser to penetrate to the root zone.

I was recommended to try Greensleeves by a friend and I have not regretted it one bit and neither has my garden really. I am not big into Gardening but with the help and advice from the Greensleeve's guys we have seen some great results in a short space of time at an affordable price point! I was extremely impressed with the outcome from Greensleeves! 4 weeks after the first treatment, the lawn was transformed! The grass was greener, thicker and lusher; I really wasn't expecting such a quick result! Brilliant value for money and great service; I would definitely recommend this company to others.

Our lawn was pretty awful. It was a brand new lawn we had seeded after building a new house. Over a couple of years the lawn had got more and more weeds within it. With some of the weeds being some particularly nasty thistles, our son could only run around the garden if he had shoes on. We decided to look into professional lawn treatment services. After getting a couple of quotes, we decided to go with Greensleeves. We have just completed our first full years worth of treatments and our lawn is a vast improvement. It's not completely weed and moss free, but we live right next to open pasture land

So far we've had two seasonal treatments (early & late summer) and a spiking service on our lawn. I'm happy with the results so far - the lawn is looking healthier and greener and the clover and other weeds have been kept at bay for most of the summer. The spiking treatment was great for helping get some water deep into the soil. The staff have been efficient, courteous and helpful with their advice - thank you!
