Your thermostat controls 60% of your energy bill. With a new 'A' rated boiler and a smart thermostat (such as a Nest Thermostat), you can control your hot water and heating from your phone. After one week of use, most smart thermostats program themselves, learning from your usage. Not sure how good their work is but one of their engineers who was working in our building decided to dump an old mascerator (that's a box that chews up toilet waste) in our car park, rather than disposing of it correctly. Not only is this bad because it is littering; it's bad because these units contain harmful bacteria which can cause dysentery or worse. Some of the residents in our building have children who play out there who could easily play with the unit, not knowing what it is. I did phone Strongs to ask them to collect the unit and they agreed to do so – admitting responsibility –
