We employ properly trained and certified professionals to safely carry out all aspects of plumbing and electrical work across our projects. We can advise on how to plan and choose systems that maximise space, budget and energy-efficiency throughout the site. All plumbing and electrical work is planned and co-ordinated to fit in with the fuller schedule of works on each particular project, avoiding unnecessary delays onsite.
At DM General Builders, we pride ourselves on producing high quality made-to-measure woodwork in our own local joinery workshop. Our skilled tradespeople use the best materials, design tools and equipment to create a full range of furniture, made from all different types of timber. All our custom built products can be stained, varnished or sprayed in any specification, we have our own spray shop onsite so we can maintain quality throughout.
We create and install the full range of wooden windows, including sash windows, flush casement windows, bay windows, box windows, Georgian sash windows, in both hardwood and softwood. Our windows are supplied complete with weights or friction hinges, double glazed or Slimlite double glazed units, finished in any paint colour or natural wood with choice of finishing window furniture and security features.
We design and fit the full range of external and internal wooden doors, including french and bifold doors, double glazed or unglazed to suit every taste and requirement. Our doors can be manufactured to any size, painted, stained, laminated with a varying thickness, and installed by our tradespeople.
We offer a full design and made to measure cabinetry service. We have created a wide range of living room cabinets, shelving systems and dressers, making best use of the space in the room, and where possible in keeping with the original features of the property. We also create audio visual and office cabinetry, allowing for hidden cables and built-in units to house equipment.

Imagine requesting a quote from a local building company following discussion and instruction from your insurance company home repair surveyor only for the tradesman to dispute the scope of work already agreed with the surveyor, question me further about who is paying for the work ( none of his business!), imply I am trying to 'rip off' my insurance company, demand the contact details of the insurance surveyor and repeatedly ignore and challenge the scope of work to be included in the quote, requested by me,the customer.
