Patience and Highmore are an award winning Edinburgh based firm of Chartered Architects registered with The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) and also with the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT). The design ethos of the practice is to find the correct balance between meeting our clients requirements, the needs of the building user and enhancing the immediate environment.

Services
A new social housing development of 111 flats at Western Harbour, Edinburgh, and Patience and Highmore's overtaking Goosander Place as our largest single building development to date. The project was the "Affordable Housing Development of the Year" award winner at the prestigious Herald Property Scotland 2013.
We have completed a number of refurbishment and large scale urban regeneration projects. These projects have ranged from historic building restorations, refurbishment and alterations of existing housing, to area regeneration projects with large new build developments containing a mix of housing and apartment blocks.
An elegant and dramatic conversion of The Corn Exchange on Constitution Street forming the eastern gateway to the historic centre of Leith. The new conversion provides 8,000 square feet of high quality, bespoke, open planned studio space and includes exhibition gallery space at the entrance level. The project received the "Best Re-Use of a Listed Building" commendation at the 2006 Scottish Design Awards.
Patience and Highmore have successfully delivered new build and refurbishment projects in the healthcare sector. An area that we have gained particular experience is in the care of people with dementia. Our Seagrove Centre project provides a facility that offers valuable support and respite to people affected by dementia.
This purpose built building for North Edinburgh Dementia Care was part of the overall Fleming Place project on the site of the former Eastern General Hospital site in Edinburgh. The project provides a new modern facility to replace an existing aged and unsuitable unit adjacent to the site.
